Discovering The Essence Of Time.
Science, Mathematics and Philosophy has tried best to understand and find out the essence of Time, but looks like they would never succeed in that endeavor.
However, The Yoga / Yoga-Sutras of Maharshi Patanjali point out the error in such attempts of finding out the truth of Time.
Time as such is basically a वृत्ति / vRtti or a प्रत्यय / pratyaya. as it is defined in the grammar of Sanskrit -
In this way I have tried to define TIME.
TIME is such an unresolved puzzle for Science, Mathematics and Philosophy.
The first four aphorisms of the Yoga of Patanjali are :
In the next aphorisms the Sage Patanjali describes the five kinds of what might be called a वृत्ति vRtti / प्रत्यय / pratyaya.
TIME and MIND are essentially one and the same something incomprehensible for the THOUGHT.
Only after waking up from the sleep state, THOUGHT, MIND and TIME appear to have emerged out together as and in a singular form of an activity on the part of the individual, that is again the Sense of being the SELF.
The same Sense of Being is again the Sense of Knowing, that is synonymous with consciousness / Being conscious of something that is Known in Being. only.
Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi -
The Upadesha SaraH
is of great help in finding out the essence of वृत्ति / vRtti, प्रत्यय / pratyaya.
As THOUGHT, TIME and MIND are but different names of the same thing that is essentially :
वृत्ति / vRtti / प्रत्यय / pratyaya,
Again, THOUGHT, TIME and Mind fall in the category of
विकल्प and / or विपर्यय kind of वृत्ति / vRtti.
The following verses of this text :
However, finding out through the help of the above verses we can discover how to transcend the THOUGHT, TIME, and the MIND together and in one stroke.
