Story-1 / कथा-1
॥ॐ तन्नो दन्ती प्रचोदयात् ॥

||om̐ tanno dantī pracodayāt ||

May The दन्तिन् 'dantin' / Dantin (Lord Ganesha) illuminate our Intellect ...
--
Lord Ganesha गणेश had an elephant face.
A RiShi / ऋषि requested महर्षि वेदव्यास / Sage Veda-vyAsa to write-down all Veda, Vedik scriptures for the benefit of the whole mankind.
Veda-vyAsa said :
"I can just speak only. The flow of my speech should go on uninterrupted so long as I keep speaking. Who can follow my speech and note-down all the words correctly at the same time?
The RiShi / ऋषि approached to Lord Ganesha / गणेश for this Gigantic task.
Ganesha गणेश agreed.
He took a piece of His big ivory tooth, and used this piece as a pen for noting down all the texts.
When Veda-vyAsa / वेदव्यास asked Him why did you break your tooth? Lord Ganesha गणेश replied :
"O महर्षि! O Great Sage! I'm The Lord of intellect and so both the auspicious and the inauspicious intellects are my servants only. I broke the inauspicious one and made the same as the pen for writing Your words."
MaharShi Veda VyAsa महर्षि वेदव्यास was very delighted to hear such an answer, and Blessed Him (to the Lord Ganesha / गणेश), He will be the First among all Gods to be worshiped ! MaharShi Veda VyAsa महर्षि वेदव्यास also proclaimed,:
"Who-so-ever remembers you by this name 'danti' / दन्तिन् will attain pure untainted Intellect and the Wisdom Supreme!"
